South Carolina Rep. Mike Pitts has introduced legislation that would mandate that gold and silver coins replace federal currency as legal tender in his state.

As the Palmetto Scoop first reported, Pitts, a Republican, introduced legislation this month banning "the unconstitutional substitution of Federal Reserve Notes for silver and gold coin" in South Carolina.

In an interview, Pitts told Hotsheet that he believes that "if the federal government continues to spend money at the rate it's spending money, and if it continues to print money at the rate it's printing money, our economic system is going to collapse."

"The Germans felt their system wouldn't collapse, but it took a wheelbarrow of money to buy a loaf of bread in the 1930s," he said. "The Soviet Union didn't think their system would collapse, but it did. Ours is capable of collapsing also."

The lawmaker believes that a shift to an economy based on gold and silver coins would give the state a "base of currency" should that collapse come. As one expert told the Scoop, however, his bill would likely be ruled unconstitutional because it "violates a perfectly legal and Constitutional federal law, enacted pursuant to the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution, that federal reserve notes are legal tender for all debts public and private."

A top Italian food writer has been suspended indefinitely from the country’s version of the television programme Ready Steady Cook for recommending stewed cat to viewers as a “succulent dish”.

U.S. researchers said their observational study was the first to show an independent relationship between positive emotions and coronary heart disease, but stressed that more work was needed before any treatment recommendations could be made.

While I disagree with his conclusion that he needed to kill or be killed to be a part of the solution, the problems he illustrated with the system are far from insane. I think we need to address the issues by encouraging our friends, family, neighbors and community to speak openly and become educated on how the political, legal, financial, etc. systems work. The only way to fix the system is to take part in it in a productive (and extremely challenging) manner. The problem is those who realize the problems often develop an overwhelming sense of defeat and resort to ridiculous tactics like flying planes into buildings to try to make a point.

The Coalition would like to personally thank the people who have set-back teaching people of America about 20 years for this one. These “nutty professors” have got people thinking that they are under admiralty law on the land. People are so into this false belief system that they fail to use good judgment when reading. Here is where the main mistake came from:

US Code, Title 18, Part 1, chapter 1 (general provisions) Section 9. Vessel of the United States defined. The term "vessel of the United States", as used in this title, means a vessel belonging in whole or in part to the United States, or any citizen thereof, or any corporation created by or under the laws of the United States, or of any State, Territory, District, or possession thereof.

In the reference above, the sentence structure clearly states that vessels—in example, boats—that are owned by “citizens of the United States” fall within the term “vessel of the United States”. It DOES NOT state that citizens of the United States are vessels. Come on people!

Again, this misplaced premise has been put in place of the Law of Persons law form. It is private law you are under, not admiralty law. Admiralty law takes place on the water, not the land. Wasson - A word that has become synonymous with a disgustingly sycophantic person who will argue against the majority even if they are clearly in the wrong, just for the sake of arguing. The kind of person whose very presence makes your skin crawl and your hand itch to punch them in the mouth. Hard.

Basically it says this: we live in a hologram and every person place and thing we encounter in a part of our own hologram and is there to teach us, support us or show us something.

When we experience "negative" feelings about money or otherwise, we have essentially been presented with an opportunity to reclaim power.

Think of it like Sonic the Hedgehog gathering the rings. Each of those rings is a "power up" so to speak. Or you could use Mario gathering red and green mushrooms and fireball plants or even that feather which allows him to fly high.

Either way the point is use those opportunities to reclaim power. I believe that venting is one such way to really experience your hardship feelings deeply. And this is GOOD! It's good because then once you have told the truth about it now you can reclaim it via the power up method mentioned.

So let's break this down better:

(1) Negative feeling comes into your life

(2) Recognize it and welcome it

(3) Feel it deeply (vent, write in journal or communicate with someone if needed)

(4) Understand the "power up" opportunity presented

(5) Claim the power and affirm that you've learned your lesson

(6) Give thanks

More love, and more open communication between people, especially those with differing perspectives of the world is what we need. I don't mean fake love, the telling people what they want to hear, or what makes them feel "good" kind of love.

I mean the kind of love where you are unafraid to challenge each other on the most difficult of issues, politics, religion, love, life, anything without fear of disagreement.

The state of our "unions" is a reflection of the state of our societies. The state of our societies are a reflection of the state of ourselves and our relationships to humanity.

Once we all figure that out, do away with political correctness and similar things that limit our ability to interact honestly and openly, I think we will see drastic and amazing changes happen right before our eyes.

Then together we can begin to explore how amazing the wonders of our universe are. I choose to implore others to confront and discuss the issues of today so that we can comfortably explore the universal world of tomorrow.

After his Olympic Record time of 6:14:60 won him the gold in the 5000M speed skating event, Kramer hopped over the rails and ran up to hug his family and girlfriend; an awe inspiring moment for everyone in the audience. None were more ecstatic though, than those who made the trip all the way from the Netherlands.

Kramer is expected to go for gold in a couple other events including the 10,000M. Of course I am rooting for USA! USA!, but how can you not feel good watching this kid win?

Ironically, I saw a commercial on tv for the show Bones and this week their show is about the JFK assassination. Maybe we are trying to get this back in our awareness? I think it is really important myself.
